To be eligible to attend a Ceremony, candidates must have graduated, or be about to graduate, from an accredited engineering program in Canada, or meet this academic requirement by having their education judged acceptable for registration as a Professional Engineer in any of the provincial licensing associations in Canada. In practice, this means that the candidate is registered as a Professional Engineer, or an Engineer in Training where their academics qualifications have already been vetted.  To receive an iron ring, candidates must participate in a ceremony in its entirety; rings are not given out “in absentia”.  Relevant information for potential candidates is provided in more detail on the “more information” page link beside the Ceremony .
